Information-Estimated Birth Date

Estimated Birth Date

Self-calculation

Last menstrual day + 280 days

The average period from fertilization to childbirth is 266 days. The first moment of pregnancy should be viewed as the date when the egg and sperm meet and fertilize or implant, but since it is not known exactly, it is assumed that fertilization takes place two weeks after the start of menstruation and 280 days after the start of the last period. Calculate the due date. 14 days from the last menstruation start to ovulation, 14 days from the ovulation to the next menstruation cycle is calculated based on the 28-day menstrual cycle. If the menstrual cycle is 25 days, 277 days after 28 days minus 3 days, the person with a 35-day menstruation period is 287 days plus 7 days will be his due date. However, even if you are pregnant normally, the delayed birth without analgesia is 10% of the total pregnancy by two weeks after the scheduled date.

Negel formula
If you cannot subtract or subtract 3 from your last menstrual month, add 9, and add 7 to the date you started your last menstrual period.
(A-3) Month (B + 7) if the last day of menstruation is from April to December
In the case of September 20, the due date is 6 (9-3) and 27 (20 + 7) days.
-(A + 9) month (B + 7) days when the last menstrual period starts from January to March
On January 5, the due date is 10 (1 + 9) and 12 (5 + 7) days.

How to check basal temperature curve
Basal body temperature is the body temperature measured immediately after getting a good night's sleep for 3 hours or more. In general, the body temperature is maintained at 36.3 to 36.6 (low temperature) before ovulation, and then rises to 36.8 to 37 (high temperature) after ovulation. If you do not become pregnant after ovulation, your body temperature will drop again as your period begins, and if you are pregnant, keep your hot temperature until birth. The difference between the average body temperature at high temperature and the average body temperature at low temperature is about 0.55, and record the average basal body temperature for 3 ~ 4 months. However, be careful when taking oral contraceptives. The last day of the period when the temperature is low is considered ovulation day, and 38 weeks (266 days) are added to calculate the expected date of birth. However, pregnancy does not necessarily mean pregnancy on the day of ovulation may differ slightly from the results produced by the hospital.

The first day of menstruation before pregnancy is regarded as the first day of pregnancy, plus 280 days is the due date. The term of pregnancy for 10 months is the result of calculating 1 month for 4 weeks.

How to see the basic temperature curve
-Based on 36.7, ovulation and body temperature rises above the baseline. After ovulation, the elevated body temperature lasts for about two weeks, when menstruation begins, it goes back to the colder, and then it is lower.
The rising point of the basal body temperature curve is the ovulation time, and the falling point coincides with the start date of menstruation.
-Ovulation is followed by a high temperature period for 2 weeks, then fertilization is maintained high temperature, when the physiology starts the body ohms go down to a low temperature.
-Hot days are usually 14 days, but low temperatures vary slightly with menstrual cycles.
-Even in low temperature, if you do not start the menstruation, the balance of the homo is considered to be broken. See your doctor for possible uterine abnormalities.
-If the distinction between high temperature and low temperature is not clear, ovulation is required.

Hospital calculation

It can be seen by ultrasound.
Beginning at 5 weeks of pregnancy, ultrasound can be used to confirm pregnancy and fetal status. It is common to measure the length from the head to the hips to calculate the corrected date, by inferring the expected date of birth compared to the average fetal growth for each month. This method is often used when pregnant women do not know the last menstrual date or when the menstrual cycle is irregular. However, after 12 weeks of gestation, it is difficult to accurately predict the date of delivery because the fetus shows differences in growth and development, and only the body can see the fetus. Your doctor may also have different readings for your ultrasound pictures. Therefore, even if the ultrasound was done in the hospital, the expected date of delivery may be a week or so.

Measure the height of the uterus
The size of the uterus where the fetus is located is used to calculate the expected date of delivery, which is used when the last menstrual date is not certain. The height of the uterus is the length from the pubic bone below the front of the pelvis to the highest point of the uterus. In 20-31 weeks of gestation, the height of the uterus almost coincides with the number of weeks of pregnancy, except for obese or underweight pregnant women. In other words, at 21 weeks of gestation, the height of the uterus is 21 cm, which has been used to determine the development of the fetus in the past. The highest point of the uterus is around 9 months of gestation, and in the case of Maksan, the fetus comes down and its height is lowered. Usually, the sole height of the uterus does not calculate the due date.

The first time you feel the birth can tell you the scheduled date. The first mother feels her first pregnancy at about 19-20 weeks of pregnancy, so 20 weeks plus the date is expected to give birth. The mother-in-law feels quicker than the mother-in-law, so it is difficult to estimate the due date by this method.

Range of normal births

The due date is not accurate.
Even if you calculate your due date in various ways, you don't have to be overly concerned that day. More than 80% of pregnant women give birth one week earlier or later than the due date. It is common for the new mother to give birth later than the scheduled date, and the pregnant woman to give birth earlier than the scheduled date. The purpose of knowing the due date is to check the development of the fetus and help the pregnant woman to live the pregnancy at that stage.

Five weeks before and after the expected date of delivery, the delivery is fixed, but delayed pregnancy is dangerous.
Births for five weeks, three weeks before (37 weeks) to two weeks (41 weeks and 6 days), based on the expected birth date (40 weeks) are within the normal range of birth. Therefore, it is not necessary to be overly obsessed with dates, but care must be taken to avoid delayed pregnancy, which is too late to give birth. The fetus continues to grow until the last month of pregnancy, especially during the few days immediately before birth. In addition, the fetus over the due date sees more of the feces, the amount of amniotic fluid that surrounds the fetus gradually decreases, thereby worsening the intrauterine environment. At the same time, the placenta is weakened and oxygen and nutrient sharing are not smooth. If this condition persists, the fetus may eventually become dangerous. In addition, gestational poisoning may appear later in the pregnancy for no reason, so be careful.
